2010 North American Championships Results (Back To News)

Congratulations to all the dancers who represented Rince na h' Eireann at the 2010 North American Irish Dance Championships in Orlando, Florida! The level of competition was extremely high as many of the top dancers in the world made the trip to Disney (can you blame them?) to enjoy the amazing venue and nearby parks. This year, we had some tremendous results and while we are super proud of all the dancers who competed, we want to recognize the following medalists:
  • Brianna Connick – 17th Place Girls Under 13 – WQ
  • Gabby Haddad – 21st Place Girls Under 13 – WQ
  • Sarah Haddad – 22nd Place Girls Under 10
  • Wesley McPherson – 14th Place Boys Under 16
  • Patrick Quinlivan – 3rd Place Senior Men (over 20) – WQ
  • Mary Jo Rigney – 23rd Place Girls Under 17 – WQ
  • Ciaran Traynor – 3rd Place Boys Under 13 – WQ

While we have had many recalls at nationals in past years as well as boys who were named World Qualifiers, this is the first year that any of the RNE girls placed high enough in the recall to be named World Qualifier! Thanks to all the dancers who represented us so well both in solos and teams – we are proud of your efforts!!!
